One Sky: Sky Stories from Around the Globe
Select Fridays at 7:30 pm and Saturdays at 2:00 pm
Recommended for Children ages 6+; 40 minutes
The One Sky Project is an international collaboration which created a series of short full dome planetarium films, each representing the perspective of a different culture from around the globe. The show includes a story about Orion from the Greeks, the Thunderbird from the Navajoand the great Celestial Canoe from the Innu people of Northern Canada. The show also explores how Hawaiians used the sky as a compass for their voyages throughout the Pacific Ocean.
This 40-minute children's show is recommended for kids ages 6 and up and includes a brief tour of the night sky and planets.
Please note that all Theater, Campus Life & Planetarium ticket purchases are subject to a $1.50 processing fee on this website. Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the Planetarium doors. Programs begin promptly. For safety reasons no admittance is allowed once a show has begun. Ticket purchases cannot be refunded or exchanged.
