Amazing Telescope: Two Pieces of Glass
Fridays at 7 pm and Saturdays at 2:30 pm.
Recommended for Children ages 6+; 35 minutes
400 years ago, a simple telescope made from two pieces of glass revealed for the first time an infinite and perplexing universe to our eyes and imaginations. During this planetarium show, we follow two young students to an astronomy event and learn how the telescope has helped us understand our place in space. Together they explore the history of the telescope, from Galileo’s simple spyglass to the powerful space telescopes we use today to explore the mysteries of the Universe.
This 35-minute show is recommended for kids ages 6 and up and includes a brief tour of the night sky and planets.

From Earth to the Universe
Second and Fourth weekend of each month, Saturdays at 5:30 starting February 11th.
Recommended for Adults and Children ages 8+; 45 minutes
The beauty of the night sky has inspired awe and wonder for as long as there have been people. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos.
Come revel in the splendor of the Universe from the planets in our Solar System, the colorful nebula and star clusters of the Milky Way, out to the glittering myriads of galaxies beyond. Along the way, visitors will learn about the history of astronomy, the invention of the telescope, and the giant observatories that allow us to probe the furthest reaches of space. This 30-minute voyage through space is followed by a 15-minute tour of the night sky and planets.

Recommended for adults and children ages 8+; 45 minutes
With the world’s most powerful telescopes, we can explore more and more of the Universe. What we have found so far has surpassed even the wildest expectations of scientists and even science fiction authors. A vast number of different worlds is out there, just waiting to be discovered. But, despite all these discoveries, one question remains unanswered: is there life out there?
This 45-minute show is appropriate for adults and kids ages 6+ and includes a tour of the night sky and planets.
