To study the vastness of space, you need extra-large equipment! Travel to the southern hemisphere and explore Chile’s giant telescopes. Meet some of the many people with diverse backgrounds, talents and skills needed to run these world-class observatories. This award-winning planetarium show is narrated by Chilean astronomer Barbara Rojas-Ayala.
This 45-minute show is recommended for adults and children ages 8 and up. Big Astronomy is a collaboration between several major planetariums and observatories and is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (Award #: 1811436).
Please note that all Theater, Campus Life & Planetarium ticket purchases are subject to a $1.50 processing fee on this website. Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the Planetarium doors.
Note: Programs begin promptly. For safety reasons no admittance is allowed once a show has begun.
